Personal Life
Justin Williams is a standout in everything he does, according to Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge coach Mark Schmid. “He’s a standout kid,” Schmid told the Houston Chronicle. “He’s a really great student. He’s in the top 10% of his class. Teachers love him. The kids respond to him and rally around him. They kind of watch how he handles situations. He’s not only a verbal leader, but he’s a leader with his actions. To have somebody like that on that side of the ball has worked out well.” Williams was named Texas District 13-6A Defensive Player of the Year as a junior after racking up 105 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and 8.5 sacks. Williams also runs track for Oak Ridge, where he was timed at 11.09 seconds in the 100 meters and recorded a 5-foot, 8-inch high jump as a sophomore.

Justin Williams' elite athleticism, play speed, length and developmental frame remind us of Roquan Smith. Both were very productive high school players. Williams moved from safety to linebacker, while Smith played all over the field on both sides of the ball settling in as an off-ball linebacker.
