Kathryn Sandercock
Personal Life
Originally from McLean (Virginia) Bishop O’Connell High School, Kathryn Sandercock was the Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year in 2017. She made an instant impact at Florida State in 2019, appearing in 32 games with 11 starts. She posted a 13-0 record with a 1.99 ERA. Sandercock was recognized with All-ACC Freshman Team honors. Also, that year, she was a member of the USA U19 National Softball Team. In the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, she led the team with a 9-1 record and a 2.19 ERA. Things got even better in 2021 when she finished the season ranked 16th in the NCAA and second in the ACC in ERA and fifth in the country in wins to earn second-team All-America honors from NFCA and first-team All-ACC honors. In 2022, Sandercock led Florida State in appearances, starts, wins (30), innings pitched (194.1), earned runs allowed (40), walks (30), saves (3), complete games (8), opponent batting average (.189) and ERA (1.44). Those numbers helped her earn All-America honors and All-ACC recognition once again. Sandercock is returned to Florida State for her super senior season and she was named conference pitcher of the year. Sandercock has been active on the NIL front, signing with Florida State-focused collective Rising Spear.
