Kelton Smith Scouting Summary

Cody Bellaire

7/18/22

Big-bodied offensive lineman with an outstanding combination of length and functional strength. Plays with the power of an interior offensive lineman with the plus length (arms over 35 inches) of a top offensive tackle. Measured at around 6-foot-4, 315 pounds prior to his senior season. Has primarily worked at right tackle for a top talent-producing high school program in west Georgia. Shows some dominant tendencies as a drive blocker, moving defenders 10 to 15 yards downfield at times. Functional strength is also validated with some strong results in the shot put, including a 53-8 foot toss as a sophomore. Still has room to refine his technique and pass set. Missed some time as a senior but turned in a strong showing at the All-American Bowl practices. Can also tend to bend at the waist at times. Unique combination of play strength and length makes him one of the higher upside offensive linemen in the 2023 cycle.

Kelton Smith a big riser in updated On300

Charles Power

7/18/22

The Peach State offensive lineman made a major move in the On300 to No. 109, up over 150 spots. The 6-foot-5, 310 pound lineman possesses a unique combination of arm length, playing strength and physical mindset. He reminds us of Texas commit Neto Umeozulu from the 2022 cycle as a devastating drive blocker. The initial explosion on contact and his ability to accelerate through defensive linemen shows up on the track with a shot put of nearly 54 feet. However, he has to be cognizant of bending at the waist at times.
