As a College Recruit

The top pass rushing prospect in the 2023 cycle, with advanced size, power, athleticism and technical ability. Shows high-end explosion and finishing ability behind the line of scrimmage. Has a big frame at around 6-foot-5, 245 pounds with good length (33 7/8 inch arms). Touts a strong first step, bursting off the ball and uses his length to create disruption off the edge. A technical, patient rusher who added moves throughout his high school career. Developed a spin move to go with quick hands as a senior. Displays strong closing speed and finishes plays behind the line of scrimmage at a high rate. Among the more productive pass rushers in the nation as a junior and senior, totaling 32.5 sacks over his final two seasons. Most comfortable rushing out of a two-point stance at this point. A violent finisher who delivers massive hits on opposing quarterbacks. Has the frame and play strength to develop into a plus run defender. Quickly generates momentum and converts speed to power as a pass rusher. Will need to continue improving his bend and flexibility as he's more of a straight line rusher. Also a bouncy athlete with a basketball background. Capped of his high school career with an MVP performance throughout the week at the All-American Bowl.

Keon Keeley has similar size, length and the disruptive pass rush ability we saw from Chase Young as a recruit. Keon Keeley has measured 6-foot-5.5, 245 pounds while Young was around 6-foot-5, 250 pounds as a senior in high school. Both have arm lengths around 34 inches. Like Chase Young, Keeley is a big, explosive pass rusher with the ability to win off the edge with speed, bend or power.

Keon Keeley finishes as On3's No. 2 overall prospect

Charles Power

The Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep star made a real run at No. 1 overall with a very strong senior season, backed up by a dominant performance at the All-American Bowl earlier this month.Keeley has a complete skill set as a pass rusher. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder is capable of winning with speed, bend, power and technical skills. He was highly productive on Friday nights, tallying 32.5 sacks over the past two seasons. Keeley and Berkeley Prep actually played Manning and Isidore Newman during the 2021 season. The Crimson Tide signee finished the game with two sacks and an interception and honestly looked like the top prospect on the field that evening. The overall resume – physical dimensions, film, production and dominant all-star showing – puts Keeley on the same level as recent top pass rushing prospects like like Will Anderson (Alabama) and Mykel Williams (Georgia), in our opinion.

Keon Keeley named On3 MVP at All-American Bowl week

Charles Power

In a game with a ton of top prospects on the line of scrimmage, Keon Keeley stood out above the rest. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound pass rusher entered All-American Bowl week as the highest-rated prospect on hand and lived up to the billing. Keeley had a dominant first day of practice with some eye-popping reps in 1-on-1’s. We didn’t see him lose a 1-on-1 rep over the course of the week. He also made a number of plays, including several sacks, during live team periods. The Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep standout made his presence felt during Saturday’s game as well with a sack, several tackles and pressures while working as left defensive end. Keeley’s combination of size, power, first-step quickness was well known coming into the week. With that said, he flashed some high-end technicality and bend, as well. We saw Keeley implement a ghost move on several occasions. His physical skills along with the coordination and attention to detail point to a high floor and ceiling at the next level.
