Koy Beasley
Purdue
Recruiting Class of 2024
As a College Recruit
Dynamic two-way athlete with upside as a defensive back. Measured in at around 5-foot-10, 170 pounds prior to his senior season. One of the fastest players in the 2024 cycle. Consistently posted sub-10.6 second times in the 100 meters as a junior. A twitched-up athlete who has fluid movement skills. Lines up at receiver and safety for his high school team. More technically-refined as a defensive back than most two-way players. Smooth and athletic in his backpedal. Gets out of his breaks quickly. Shows well in man coverage in the camp setting. Capable of staying attached downfield due to his athleticism. Could end up as a safety, but has the man cover skills to play corner at the next level. Ball skills project well to defensive back. Shows his long speed on offense, with the ability to take the top off as a vertical threat. Will need to ratchet up his physicality. Lacks prototypical size and will need to get stronger to aid in tackling and run defense. Younger for the cycle, with a late May birthday.
