Personal Life
Kristopher Ross not only plays for a perennial powerhouse program and is one of the state’s top-rated defensive linemen, he is also one of the nation’s premier throwers of the shot put, with a personal best of 60 feet, 3.5-inches prior to his senior year. Ross’ mom, Tinnequo Ross, is a former assistant track coach at Southern University. Ross pledged to Texas and its defensive line coach Bo Davis. Davis is a former North Shore assistant coach. North Shore is also home to former Longhorn All-American defensive lineman and national high school defensive player of the year, Corey Redding. Ross selected the Horns over scholarship offers from Miami, Auburn and TCU among others. Ross says his hobby is traveling. He plans to major in chemical engineering.
