Max Buchanan

Seminole High School coach Karl Calhoun said it's obvious by looking at Max Buchanan that he's got physical gifts that few others have. But Calhoun said what makes him truly special is the other things he brings to the table. “I like how Max plays, how he’s looked at,” said Calhoun, who describes Buchanan to former Atlanta Falcon tackle Jake Matthews because of his versality and ability to play every position on the offensive line. “He’s a leader who works hard in the weight room, who’s vocal and has been a staple. He’s been starting for us since he was a freshman, and that says a lot. Over the last four years, he’s been great, and he’s a grinder. I think he has taken the biggest leaps and improvements in his power and point of attack. He’s gotten a lot stronger as the years have gone by. He’s always had terrific footwork, and it’s very hard to maneuver and shake him.”
