Personal Life

Originally from Oceanside (California) Cathedral Catholic High School, Megan Faraimo is one of the most decorated softball players in the country. Faraimo was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year in 2022 and 2023 and to the Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team in 2022. She also earned All-America and All-Pac-12 honors. She pitched a complete-game, 10-strikeout performance with a home run to boot versus No. 10 Northwestern to become just the fifth player in UCLA history to both pitch and hit a homer in the same WCWS game. That success mirrors what she did in 2021 and 2020. In 2021, Faraimo was selected to the NFCA All-American and All-Pac-12 first teams and named a finalist for the USA Softball Player of the Year award after leading the Bruins with a 19-3 record, eight shutouts, 23 complete games, 184 strikeouts in 133.1 innings pitched and a Pac-12-best 1.10 earned run average. Faraimo was named the Softball America Pitcher of the Year and a Softball American First Team All-American after leading the Bruins with a 0.85 earned run average, a 13-1 record and 149 strikeouts in 90 1/3 innings in 2020. Outside of college play, Faraimo helped the United States U19 Women's National Team to gold at the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup. Her parents are Marcie and Bill Faraimo. Her brother, Mathew, played four years on the USC men’s volleyball team. Faraimo is expected to return for her super senior season. Faraimo has also been active in NIL, executing deals with D1Softball and others.
