Nijel Pack
Miami
As a Recruit
Personal Life
Long before he generated headlines with his NIL-fueled transfer from Kansas State to Miami, Nigel Pack established himself as one of the top guards in college basketball. Pack arrived at Kansas State in the Class of 2020 as a four-star recruit and top 100 overall prospect coming out of Indianapolis (Indiana) Lawrence Central High School. During his freshman season at K-State, he averaged 12.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists and was the Wildcats’ leading scorer. During the 2021-2022 season, he was named the Big 12 Conference’s Most Improved Player, a first-team all-league pick after averaging 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists. After his second-year freshman season at K-State, the Wildcats made a coaching change and Pack transferred to Miami. On the same day of his transfer, LifeWallet owner John Ruiz announced the two parties had agreed to terms on an NIL deal. It was the biggest NIL agreement LifeWallet has executed to date, and his name will forever be tied to it. Pack made an immediate impact at Miami. He was named the NCAA Tournament Midwest Region Most Outstanding Player after averaging 18.5 points and leading the Hurricanes to the Final Four.
