As a Recruit
Personal Life
Pokey Wilson was an On3 Consensus three-star recruit coming out of Ashburn (Georgia) Turner County High School in the 2017 recruiting class. He picked FSU over interest from Georgia, Ole Miss and others. Wilson started at FSU as a defensive back. But he was moved to receiver in the 2018 season. He appeared in 11 games that season and made four catches for 35 yards. Wilson made more of an impact in 2019 with 21 receptions for 227 yards and one touchdown. Then in 2020, Wilson led FSU in receptions and receiving yards. He totaled a career-high 117 yards and one touchdown on career-best seven catches at North Carolina State. He continued to improve in 2021, starting all 11 games. Wilson had 23 receptions for 382 yards and team-high five touchdowns, returned seven punts for 28 yards and had a 10-yard rush. He further cemented his stock as one of college football’s top receivers against LSU in the season-opening 2022 game. Wilson had seven receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
