As a Recruit
Personal Life
Adepoju Adebawore was already considered one of the top prospects in the Midwest. Yet, he emerged as one of the country’s top defensive recruits in the summer of 2022 with a series of dominating performances on the camp circuit. North Kansas City coach Leon Douglas was not surprised with his climb up the rankings. “Adepoju Adebawore is a different guy,” Douglas said. “In the past he’s been a tight end; solid blocker and does some good things. Playing defensive end, you just really see his skill set pop on the field.” Adebawore goes by the nickname PJ to his friends, family and teammates. His older brother signed with Northwestern as part of the Class of 2018.

Adepoju Adebawore is one of the most physically-gifted defenders in the 2023 cycle, at 6-foot-4, 225+ pounds with a wing-span over 7-feet. Adebawore is a phenomenal athlete with those dimensions, drawing a comparison to former Penn State star and current Baltimore Raven, Odafe Oweh - one of the more unique jumbo athletes to come through the NFL Draft in recent years.
