As a College Recruit

Multi-functional tight end prospect that is a mismatch in the passing game. Possesses the prototype frame and build that should be physically ready to see the field in year one. Produced at a high level reeling in 36 catches for 889 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. Has the ability to play as a true in-line Y, flex out in the slot or out wide as a receiver. Drives his legs on contact as a run blocker and looks to finish plays. Shows impressive twitch and the ability to separate as a route runner for someone his size. Uses his size to box out smaller defensive backs in contested catch situations. One of the best tight end talents in the country who could be primed for an early impact in college.

Riley Williams - Central Catholic - 2021 Junior Season Highlights

Scouting Journal

Riley Williams scores two highlight touchdowns on national TV

Charles Power

Riley Williams had a big game with his Portland Central Catholic team facing off against Clackamas (Ore.) on ESPNU. The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder finished with four catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in the 38-20 win. Both touchdowns were of the highlight variety and in the second quarter. Williams showcased his ball skills and athleticism on the first touchdown, tracking the ball over his shoulder for a contested catch before racing down the sidelines for a 75-yard score. The second came right before the end of the first half. Williams came down with the high-point grab as the clock hit zero. Williams is in the midst of a very strong junior campaign and could push Duce Robinson as the top tight end in the cycle.
