Roger Alderman
Utah
Recruiting Class of 2023
As a College Recruit
Multi-positional, multi-sport athlete with upside as a developmental offensive lineman. Plays at a smaller high school, never leaving the field. Plays as a guard and defensive end/outside linebacker. A physical, mauling run blocker. Often drives defensive linemen 15 yards downfield. Shows his movement skills on defense, where he drops into the flats and runs down receivers. Throws the shot put, with a personal best toss of 50 feet as a freshman. Also an area standout basketball and rodeo. Measured at around 6-foot-4.5, 250 pounds with a 6-foot-8.5 wing-span and 10-inch hand prior to his junior season. Has considerable room to put on weight, but will need time to bulk up once in a college program. May not contribute early but has positive indicators as a high upside offensive line prospect. Younger for the class, not turning 18 years old until the week before his first game as a college freshman.
Reminds Us Of
Like Austin Corbett, Roger Alderman is a developmental offensive lineman with athleticism, functional strength and a frame optimal for adding size. Both Alderman and Corbett were multi-sport standouts in football, basketball and track. Alderman was more of a coveted prospect as Corbett was a walk-on out of high school.
