Ryan Williams a Top Performer at Under Armour All-America Game

Charles Power

Jordan Ross arguably put together the best week of practice among the EDGE players on hand. The 6-foot-4.5, 220-pounder showed the most juice off the edge for Team Fire over the course of the week. Ross combines a nice frame with dynamic first-step quickness and overall athleticism. He’s a loose and fluid mover who has the flexibility to dip and bend around the corner. The future Vol was very active in team drills throughout practice and won 1-on-1 reps at a high rate. The total skill set he put on display points to a high developmental ceiling. Ross ranks as the No. 38 overall prospect in the On300 rankings.

Ryan Williams debuts as No. 3 overall prospect in initial 2025 On300

Charles Power

There is not a current skill prospect who is more athletic and productive than wide receiver Ryan Williams (No. 3). The Alabama commit was absolutely dominant as a sophomore while leading his Saraland (Ala.) High team to a state title. Williams’ 2022 stat-line was absurd for any player, let along a sophomore. He caught 88 passes for 1,641 yards and 24 touchdowns, ran for 700 yards and 15 touchdowns on 57 rushes (12.3 yards per carry), returned two punts for touchdowns and passed for a score. Williams is not just dominant on Friday nights – he was the On3 MVP at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp last month after a stellar showing where he scored around 10 touchdowns in 1-on-1’s and posted the fasted 40-yard dash on hand (electronic 4.41). He’s also a track star and has a shot at winning state in four events. So far in 2023, Williams has posted a scintillating 10.49 second mark in the 100 meters along with 21.28 seconds in the 200 meters, a 48.19 400 meter mark and a 6-8 high jump. At 6-foot, 160-pounds, Williams will need to continue adding mass and strength to his frame, but there are few if any who can rival his resume as a football player and verified athlete to this point.

Ryan Williams named On3 MVP at Under Armour Atlanta camp

Charles Power

Ryan Williams was named the On3 MVP at Under Armour's Atlanta camp. Williams entered the event with the reputation as one of the top skill prospects in high school football, regardless of class. The 6-foot, 170-pounder more than lived up to that lofty status on Sunday afternoon. Williams was uncoverable in 1-on-1’s, using his elite combination of initial burst and long speed to easily separate from defensive backs. While the action was moving fast with multiple groups doing 1-on-1’s at once, Williams won every rep we caught. The Crimson Tide pledge consistently tracked and located the ball over his shoulder, finishing every rep with a catch. Williams’ phenomenal showing at Under Armour comes on the heels of a massive sophomore season that saw him account for over 2,600 total yards and 39 touchdowns while leading Saraland (Ala.) High to a state title and earning Gatorade Player of the Year honors in the state of Alabama. He also doubles as one of the state’s top track athletes, starring in multiple events.

Ryan Williams off to scintillating start as a sophomore

Charles Power

Few high school receiver prospects – regardless of cycle – are off to a hotter start to the season than Saraland (Ala.) High 2025 pass-catcher Ryan Williams. The 6-foot, 155-pounder is making huge plays on a weekly basis. He’s accounted for 714 yards and 13 touchdowns on just 37 catches in addition to 224 rushing yards and five touchdowns on just 13 attempts. We got a further glimpse of Williams’ game-breaking ability against Foley (Ala.) High on Friday night. The sophomore standout hauled in seven catches for 161 yards and three touchdowns, along with a 31-yard gain on a speed sweep. Williams’ showed off his 10.72 second speed on the first touchdown, beating 2024 Alabama commit Perry Thompson deep for a long score. He showed situational awareness in sitting down in zone coverage for the second touchdown catch and followed that up with another long score on a deep ball.
