Shawn Phillips

Shawn Phillips is a powerful center. There is no questioning what he is positionally as he stays close to the basket and is ok doing the tough guy stuff on the floor. A physical specimen, Phillips has long arms and broad shoulders. He has lost close to 50 pounds over the past ten months. He is still learning how to use, and play in, his new body. While he will need to loosen his hips and lower body, Phillips is powerful around the basket. He is still a bit mechanical with the ball. The dunker spot, rolling to the rim, rebounding, protecting the rim, and setting big screens will be where you see Phillips at his best.
