Spencer Fano Scouting Summary

Charles Power

7/04/22

Light-footed, technical offensive lineman with true positional versatility. Size was unknown until the All-American Bowl late in the cycle. Measured in at around 6-foot-4.5, 275 pounds with plus length for the position. Has added good mass over the final two years of his high school career. Plays under control and is a menace in the running and passing game. Plays with violence and has exceptional balance. Athleticism stands out when working in open space as a puller and when climbing to the second level. Comfortable in pass protection. Quality kick slide and footwork to live on an island at either tackle spot. Biggest question for how soon he can see the field will be his ability to put on good weight and max out his frame. Turned in a strong showing at the All-American Bowl, working at both right tackle and center. Impressed with his ability to anchor on contact against bigger defensive linemen. Has considerable upside as an interior offensive linemen.

Fano was one of the better offensive linemen on hand at the All-American Bowl. He checked out size-wise at around 6-foot-4, 275 pounds with good length. Though he has mainly played right tackle to date, we saw Fano play all over the line and show well at center. His technical skills and ability to anchor stood out.

Spencer Fano was the anchor along the offensive line throughout the week for the West. The Utah signee showed the ability to dominate at the point of attack at both right tackle and center. Fano practiced at both positions throughout the week showing off his versatility and overall athleticism. His most impressive performance during practice came during the joint 1-on-1 session where he didn’t lose a single rep at both spots. During the game, Fano held up the best against Keon Keeley, using his anchor to neutralize the five-star pass rusher on a few impressive reps. There’s no question Fano proved that he was one of the top offensive linemen at the event throughout the week.
