Personal Life
Heading into the 2024 season, Tacario Davis was one of the most-talked about players in the country – because of his play on the field as a second-team All-Pac-12 performer and also with his short-lived flirtation with the transfer portal. Davis stayed at Arizona and has remained humble and focused. "I don't feed into any of that," Davis said. "I come in every day and show up trying to be the best version of myself every day. I don't have to worry about the outside and the transfer portal. I can focus on football and where my feet are and be present." His coaches at Arizona say he handled the offseason turmoil well. "I've seen guys of his status really start to relax and that's been the thing that we as a staff have put before him," Arizona defensive back coach Chip Viney said. "Staying focused and continuing to work for the things he is after. I think he is doing an awesome job." Davis led the Pac-12 in the 2023-2024 season with 15 pass breakups and 16 passes defended.
