Thomas Blackshear

A physical receiver who excels at the catch point. Measured in at around 6-foot-0.5, 195 pounds with solid length. Has a compact, defined build. Owns a 6-0 foot mark in the high jump and times that range from 11.07 seconds to 11.2 seconds range in the 100 meters. Had his best season as a senior, hauling in 47 catches for 1,072 yards and 17 touchdowns. Plays with a ‘my ball’ mentality. Times his jumps and elevates to come down with contested catches. Strong hands at the catch point. A regular red zone target for his high school. Also at ease working over the middle. Finishes through contact. Becomes a running back with the ball in his hands. Capable of breaking arm tackles and fighting for extra yardage. Has been used as a ball carrier on speed sweeps and in the backfield over his career. Physical and active as a blocker on the perimeter. Will need to continue honing his routes. Competitive and gritty player who offers a high floor as a possession target. Younger for the cycle, turning 18 years old in April of his senior year of high school.
