Personal Life
After the 2023 season Tre Harris had a big decision to make – bolt for the NLF Draft or return to Ole Miss. In the end, he decided to return to Oxford to cement his legacy as one of the best receivers in school history. “It was challenging, for sure," Harris, who finished 2023 with 54 receptions in 12 games for 985 yards for eight touchdowns. "It was in the back of my mind throughout the season, but as the season came to a close, it definitely got bigger and bigger in my mind, and, you know, for me, the biggest thing was being able to come back and still improve my skill set. I’m comfortable with my teammates, coaches, and quarterback, and on top of that, they have the 12-team playoff. We want to go there, and we want to win a championship. But it's also just as important for me to leave this place as one of the best ever.” Coming out of Lafayette (Louisiana) Comeaux High School in the 2020 recruiting class, Harris signed with Louisiana Tech. Harris had 65 receptions for 935 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022 and was first-team All-CUSA after earning honorable mention all-league honors in 2021. He entered the Transfer Portal after the 2022 season.
