Zion Johnson
2022NFL Draft
Boston College Eagles
Personal Life
To say Zion Johnson was underrecruited coming out of high school was an understatement. He was only recruited by one school, FCS Davidson, which doesn’t offer scholarships. He went to play for Davidson and its triple-option attack. He was named all-conference first team as a sophomore and then entered the transfer portal. Boston College, he told the Boston Herald, was a no-brainer. He didn’t begin the 2019 season in the starting lineup, but soon earned a starting role at left guard and finished the year as a member of the All-ACC second team. He continued his standout play by earning All-ACC third team in 2020. He is the son of Tammie Edwards. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree from Boston College in computer science. He is studying cybersecurity policy and governance in grad school.
