2025 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament: Updated matchups, results, schedule, TV

It’s March and that means the postseason is here in women’s college basketball. The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament is tipping off on Wednesday, March 5th, for what should be an exciting conference tournament.

The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled to be held in Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center. For basketball, the arena boasts a capacity of more than 18,000 people. The first game is also scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday, March 5. The Big 12 Championship Game is then going to be held on Sunday, March 9.

Ahead of the Big 12 Basketball Tournament, here is a look at the schedule and what TV network the games can be found on. This will also be updated with results and matchups as the games are played.

Round 1

Game 1: No. 13 UCF 81, No. 12 BYU 69
Date/Time: 12 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+

The UCF Knights earned their first ever Big 12 Tournament win by beating the BYU Cougars to open the Big 12 Tournament. It was a close game going into the fourth quarter. That’s when the Knights pulled away with a massive fourth quarter. That charge was led by Kaitlin Peterson who had 35 points on the day.

Game 2: No. 9 Colorado 66, No. 16 Houston 58
Date/Time: 2:30 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+

Despite entering in last place with only one conference win all year, Houston fought until the end in the second game against Colorado. The Cougars trailed by double digits but outscored the Buffaloes by nine points in a fourth-quarter comeback attempt that fell short. Lior Garzon and Jade Masogayo combined for 35 of Colorado’s 66 points in the win.

Game 3: No. 15 Arizona State 82, No. 10 Cincinnati 75
Date/Time: 6:30 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+

With a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter, Arizona State looked like it was in line for a first-round win. But Cincinnati stormed back and got within three points with just over a minute to go. The Sun Devils eventually got the late free throws they needed to seal the victory and advance to Round 2 of the Big 12 tournament.

Game 4: No. 14 Texas Tech 57, No. 11 Kansas 53
Date/Time: 9:00 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+

In a defensive battle, Kansas and Texas Tech went down to the wire in Wednesday’s nightcap. It was a one-possession game in the final minute, but a put-back by Kilah Freelon put Texas Tech ahead 53-48, which created enough separation to eventually as the Red Raiders pulled away for the victory.

Round 2

Game 5: No. 5 Kansas State 80, No. 13 UCF 65
Date/Time: 12:00 p.m. ET, March 6
TV: ESPN+

Kansas State kicked off its Big 12 Tournament run on Thursday with an 80-65 victory over UCF. In the win, Serena Sundell led the Wildcats with 21 points. However, Sundell wasn’t the only Wildcat with a hot hand. Kansas State scored 20 bench points against the Knights to advance to the quarterfinals.

Game 6: No. 9 Colorado 61, No. 8 Arizona 58
Date/Time: 2:30 p.m. ET, March 6
TV: ESPN+

On Thursday, Colorado picked up where it left off, securing an 61-58 win over Arizona. It was a comeback win for the Buffaloes, who trailed Arizona by 10 points with less than a minute left in the third quarter. Tabitha Betson led the charge for Colorado, notching a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds.

Game 7: No. 7 Iowa State 96, No. 15 Arizona State 88
Date/Time: 6:30 p.m. ET, March 6
TV: ESPN+

Addy Brown scored a career-high 41 points as Iowa State defeated Arizona State 96-88 on Thursday afternoon. The Cyclones led by as many as 20 points during Thursday’s matchup against the Sun Devils. The Cyclones lived at the line, finishing a strong 33-40 (82.5%) at the charity stripe en route to a victory. Audi Crooks scored 20 points as well.

Game 8: Texas Tech 75, No. 6 Utah 64
Date/Time: 9 p.m. ET, March 6
TV: ESPN+

No. 14 seed Texas Tech advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Conference Tournament after upsetting No. 6 seed Utah 75-64 on Thursday night. The Red Raiders outscored the Utes 21-10 in the second quarter, and never gave up the lead. Texas Tech led by as many as 14 points during the second half en route to victory as Utah goes one-and-done after a first round bye.

Quarterfinals

Game 9: No. 4 West Virginia 73 vs. No. 5 Kansas State 69

For much of the game, it looked like Kansas State would run away with a win onto the semifinals. The Wildcats led 44-36 at halftime and had things clicking. But a strong third quarter pulled West Virginia to within two points entering the fourth.

The Mountaineers rode the shooting of JJ Quinerly in the second half. She would finish the game with 24 points. The game was tied at 69-69 with just over one minute left to play, when a K-State turnover led directly to a West Virginia score that would decide the game.

Game 10: No. 1 TCU 69, No. 9 Colorado 62

TV: ESPNU

It looked like TCU was in full control of Friday’s quarterfinal game against Colorado, but the Buffaloes mounted a late charge in the fourth quarter to make it interesting. However, the Horned Frogs held on to secure the 69-62 victory and advance to the quarterfinals.

Game 11: No. 2 Baylor 69, No. 7 Iowa State 63
Date/Time: 6:30 p.m. ET, March 7
TV: ESPN+

Baylor saw its 14-point lead evaporate in Friday’s quarterfinal game as Iowa State took a lead at one point in the fourth quarter. However, the Bears stayed the course and came away with the 69-63 win after capitalizing on 21 Cyclones turnovers.

Game 12: No. 3 Oklahoma State 61, No. 14 Texas Tech 59
Date/Time: 9:00 p.m. ET, March 7
TV: ESPN+

An 8-8 tie after the first quarter set the tone for the rest of the game as Oklahoma State and Texas Tech squared off in a defensive battle that came down to the final seconds. The Cowgirls were clinging to their lead, and the Red Raiders’ game-tying three missed at the buzzer – and Oklahoma State escaped with the 62-59 victory thanks in large part to 34 points from Stailee Heard to lead the charge.

Semifinals

Game 13: No. 1 TCU 71, No. 4 West Virginia 65
Date/Time: 4 p.m. ET, March 8
TV: ESPN+

The TCU Horned Frogs came away with a hard-fought victory against the No. 4 seed WVU Mountaineers on Saturday night. They took care of business, battling their way to a 71-65 win. The Horned Frogs had three different players score double digits: Sedona Prince (18 points), Madison Conner (16 points), Hailey Van Lith (19 points).

TCU managed to pull out the win, despite WVU hitting 47.1% of their shots from beyond-the-arc (8 of 17). The Horned Frogs had a very slight edge on the glass, outrebounding the Mountaineers 32 to 29. TCU did a great job of sharing the rock, dishing out 19 assists on Saturday night. WVU just had 10 assists. West Virginia finished with four players in double figures: Kylee Blacksten (11 points), Jordan Harrison (10 points), Sydney Shaw (11 points), and JJ Quinerly (20 points).

Game 14: No. 2 Baylor def No. 3 Oklahoma State in OT, 84-74

Baylor got a career-high 37 points from Aaronette Vonleh on Saturday night, as she propelled the Bears to an overtime victory over Oklahoma State. She managed to stuff the stat sheet with nine rebounds, while connecting on 14 of her 25 shots from the field. Vonleh also hit all nine of her free throws. Baylor managed to get hot in overtime, outscoring the Cowboys 18-8 in the final period to punch their tickets to the Big 12 Championship.

Big 12 Tournament Championship

No. 1 TCU 64, No. 2 Baylor 59
Date/Time: 5 p.m. ET, March 9
TV: ESPN

Hailey Van Lith won the first conference tournament championship of her career as the Horned Frogs edged out Baylor by a score of 64-59 in the title game. Van Lith, who is on the third school of her five-year college career, finished with 20 points and went a perfect 10-for-10 at the free throw line. Sedona Prince also had a big day to finish with a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds along with four assists and four steals.
