2025 WNBA Draft: ESPN releases final mock draft, predictions for 1st round picks
On3

The 2025 WNBA Draft is set for Monday night in New York City and ESPN released its final mock draft ahead of the event. The first round will be full of great names from college and overseas.

12 picks on the board, so where does your favorite player go? Or, what does your favorite team do?

There’s an obvious choice for the top pick, but some teams can rebuild fast with this year’s class. Let’s dive into ESPN’s WNBA Mock Draft.

1. Dallas Wings: Paige Bueckers, PG – UConn

This the obvious pick for the upcoming WNBA Draft. Bueckers has looked like a future No. 1 overall pick for some time now.

The Huskies star finished his senior season with 19.9 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game 4.6 assists per game while shooting 53.4% from the floor and 41.9% from three-point range. Oh yeah, she’s also a national champion. Like Caitlin Clark last year, she’s a franchise changing player.

2. Seattle Storm: Dominique Malonga, C – France

Here’s the first international player of this year’s WNBA Draft. Malonga is the projected second pick by ESPN as Seattle gets a big time center.

At just 19 years old, Malonga is already accomplished, having played for France in the Olympics last summer and has played as a pro in France since she was 15. 15.4 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game? Yeah, pretty good.

3. Washington Mystics: Kiki Iriafen, PF – USC

In this WNBA Draft, the Mystics could rebuild fast with three of the top six picks in 2025. It starts with Iriafen following a phenomenal season.

She broke out as a junior at Stanford but saved her best for last at USC. She averaged 18 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Iriafen helped lead USC to a Big Ten regular season title and the Elite Eight.

4. Washington Mystics: Sonia Citron, SG – Notre Dame

Another Mystics pick in the WNBA Draft! This time, it’s Citron out of Notre Dame, giving Washington a solid guard.

She averaged 14.1 points per game last season, helping Notre Dame get to the Sweet 16. Citron was a First-Team All-ACC pick and was on the league’s All-Defensive team. Talk about getting a key franchise pick.

5. Golden State Valkyries: Aneesah Morrow, SF – LSU

The new expansion franchise goes to the SEC in the WNBA Draft with Morrow. A face of the franchise? Potentially.

Morrow led college basketball with 13.5 rebounds per game and had 30 double-doubles this past season. Oh yeah, she put up 18.7 points per game and actually can knock down threes. Sure, it was only 24 at LSU but she knocked down 53 while a sophomore at DePaul.
