ATLANTAJazzy Davidson, the No. 3 recruit in the 2025 class, has narrowed her list to six finalists, she told On3 this past weekend at the Overtime Select Captains Weekend

Davidson, a 6-foot-1 wing from Happy Valley (Oregon) Clackamas High School has been offered by nearly all of the top programs in the country. She was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Oregon Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the third consecutive year.

She plays for the Cal Stars on the Nike EYBL circuit, where she averaged 15.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists over five games in April. Davidson was also one of 12 players recently selected to compete on the USA Basketball U18 National Team this summer.

Who made cut for Jazzy Davidson?

Jazzy Davidson told On3 she has recently narrowed her list from eight schools to six. She’s now considering USC, UCLA, Duke, South Carolina, TCU and Texas

“I’m really trying to take my time with [the decision] right now,” Davidson told On3. “I have some visits planned for the fall. But I want to visit all of the schools on that list and so far, I’ve only visited two.”

She’s taken visits with USC and LSU so far, but has a visit planned with Duke and is working to plan an official visit with UCLA. LSU is no longer under consideration, Davidson said.

“The combination of academics, which are super important to me, and obviously a really high-level basketball program,” Davidson said of what she’s looking for in a school. “Just when I’m on campus, seeing the connection and relationship that coaches have with players and a family environment.”

What does Jazzy Davidson want to improve on?

Jazzy Davidson noted that NIL is a factor for her in her recruitment, but it’s nowhere near the top of her priorities.

“I’m definitely more lowkey about it,” Davidson said of NIL. “It’s probably not in my top three most important things for me when deciding on a school, but it is a factor now.”

She also said she wants to work on her leadership and certain areas of her game before college.

“I think just improving on everything,” Davidson said. “I feel like I’m a pretty versatile player, so that requires a lot of work in a lot of different areas.”

She said that she’ll likely make her college decision in the spring after taking more visits and taking her time with it.
