Angel Reese is officially in Paris with the 2024 Olympic Games set to begin in the city in just a few days. The Chicago Sky forward tweeted that she had landed earlier Monday morning, but there was just one problem.

Apparently Reese’s luggage had been lost on the flight over, cutting into her plans to go shopping. The airline did its best to offer a solution in the meantime while it tried to locate her bags, but it appears Reese will have to wait a little longer before getting to her full plans.

“They lost our bags & said we only get “$100 in euros” to shop until they find them but we made it to Paris,” she wrote.

It’s been a busy week for Reese, who just played in her first WNBA All-Star Game on Sunday night in Phoenix. She came off the bench to finish with 12 points and 11 rebounds as Team WNBA took down Team USA by a score of 117-109.

The No. 7 pick in the draft this past year, Reese was one of two rookies to be named an All-Star this season along with Caitlin Clark. The two are the frontrunners to win Rookie of the Year, with Reese having broken the WNBA record 15 consecutive double-doubles earlier this month.

Reese currently leads the league with 12.0 rebounds per game in addition to 13.5 points per game. The WNBA is on a break for the next three weeks and will resume play on Aug. 15 after the Olympics have concluded. The Sky return with a matchup against the Phoenix Mercury.

Reese will look to pick up where she left off when that game is played. For now, she’ll cheer on Team USA in the Olympics, and hopefully her luggage will be found soon so she can get to exploring the city to its full extent.

Angel Reese describes playing with Caitlin Clark for the first time

For a few years now, we have seen Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese compete against one another. Whether at the college level with Iowa and LSU or making the jump to the WNBA, the two stars have had competitive battles between them.

Now, at the WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix, Clark and Reese are teammates. The WNBA All-Stars are going up against the USA Olympic team ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, bringing some of women’s basketball’s best players together.

Reese was asked about her first-ever experience playing alongside Clark, enjoying the moment. Clark has been a great passer of the ball since entering the WNBA and it’s something Reese has been fond of.

Of course, there is a future for the two playing together. Maybe not at the WNBA level where Indiana and Chicago are happy with two franchise players. But down the road with USA Basketball, both Clark and Reese should be a part of the team, potentially beginning with the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

“It’s so cool, when she gets the ball I’m running looking for the ball because I know she’s gonna throw it,” Reese said during an in-game interview with ESPN. “So, she’s been great to play with. I mean, the future — we’re going to be playing with each other a lot. Hopefully, in 4 years we’ll be Olympians together.”
