Angel Reese becomes first player in WNBA history to record back-to-back 20 rebound games
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese continues to dominate the WNBA in the 2024 season. And on Friday night against the Connecticut Sun, she stuffed the stat sheet with yet another record-setting performance. Even though her team lost 82-80, Reese became the first player in WNBA history to record back-to-back 20 rebound games, after she stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points and 20 rebounds in 37 minutes.
The Connecticut Sun had four players in double figures on Friday night in the victory. The Chicago Sky got big time performances from her teammates, Kamilla Cardoso, Lindsay Allen, and Chennedy Carter.
Since her days at LSU and through her first year in the WNBA, Angel Reese has built an impressive portfolio of endorsement deals. But there was one she was longing for – and it finally came to fruition on Wednesday.
Reese is joining the Hershey Company as a brand ambassador. She will also launched Reese’s-branded apparel, according to Boardroom, with the first drop happening Wednesday morning. Hats, t-shirts and hoodies are now available at TheAngelReese.com. Future releases include jerseys and another set of apparel with Reese’s Cups logos.
“The fans really made this happen,” Reese told Boardroom. “This collection is for my Reese’s Pieces — who’ve been with me every step of the way.”

Reese continued to try for a deal with Reese’s, and on June 26, made a post saying “Reese’s pieces where y’all at?????” on social media, and the company responded. She then debuted custom shoes from Reebok – one of her biggest deals – with Reese’s Pieces on them.
According to Boardroom, the two sides came together to make something happen. Considering the nickname for her group of fans, it felt appropriate.
“The connection between my name and the Reese’s brand was obvious, but it went deeper than that,” the former LSU star said. “My fans started calling themselves ‘Reese’s Pieces,’ and after I kept seeing it on social, I started engaging with some of my fans about it.”
The Sky currently sit at 11-17 overall this season, ranking them 4th in the Eastern Conference.
Up next, the Chicago Sky will face off against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, August 25th. They’ll take on Aces star Kelsey Plum, one of the best players in the league. The Aces also have A’ja Wilson, a player that has been one of the most dominant players in the WNBA for years.
The Aces are taking on the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night.
