Angel Reese made Unrivaled history on Saturday but not in a way she would have wanted. Reese was ejected against Laces after receiving two technical fouls. Originally, a common foul was called but after a gesture and arguing with the officials.

Not too long after being thrown out, Reese took to social media and gave her reaction. A simple, one-word tweet was all that was required from one of the league’s stars was put on X.

There were a few more tweets from Reese following this one. Rose went on to win the game and Reese said “W. NEXT.” It’s a win the team desperately needed after not having the best start of the season. Rose’s record on the year is now up to 2-4 but near the bottom of the Unrivaled rankings.

Additionally, somebody else got a video of Reese on the sideline after being ejected. Unsurprisingly, Reese was not too happy in the video either. She quote tweeted it with the caption “free me.”

Ejecting Reese was an unprecedented move from the officials as nobody had ever received two technicals. It’s the first time somebody has been thrown out in the league’s short history. Certainly, not a record Reece wanted to hold when agreeing to be a part of it.

“Well there’s a first,” the play-by-play announcer said. “Our first Unrivaled ejection.”

TNT microphones were not able to pick up too much more of the conversation between Reese, officials, or anyone else involved in the situation.

Reese left the game after just seven minutes of playing time, getting six points on 2-7 shooting and 15 rebounds. Ten of those boards were on the defensive end as Reese did secure a few offensive rebounds for her team.

Friday is the next time Reese will have the opportunity get back on the court. Rose will play against Mist, with tip-off scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET. As usual, TNT will have the broadcast.

The regular season will run through the early portion of March, with two semifinals taking place on March 16. One day later will be the Finals but getting there will be an uphill climb for Rose. Entering Saturday, they have a 1-4 record and are down there in the standings.

A win might be required against Laces and not having Reese will be a massive disadvantage for them.
