Angel Reese agrees to extension with Reebok, to receive signature shoe
During her time at LSU, Angel Reese and Reebok joined forces through an NIL deal. That partnership continued into the WNBA – and it’s paying off in a big way.
Reese and Reebok agreed to a multi-year contract extension, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Thursday. As part of the deal, the Chicago Sky star will receive a signature shoe, which will drop in 2026.
“Reebok and Angel are growing together every day and our visions for the future are aligned,” Reebok head of basketball Jide Osifeso told ESPN. “We’re excited to continue the relationship with a ground-up build of her signature silhouette.”
Reese’s partnership with Reebok came as the company looked to re-launch its basketball brand. A key piece of that was plan was Shaquille O’Neal, who came on board as the president of basketball. He and Reese built a strong relationship during her time in Baton Rouge, and the Basketball Hall of Famer walked her out on Senior Night.
The goal of the partnership was for Reese to become the “face” of the brand. But the relationship with O’Neal also played a role, and she previously confirmed a shoe line would be on the way at some point.
“So many different shoe companies wanted to work with me. But I chose Reebok,” Reese said in May. “What was it about Reebok? One, they don’t have a women’s basketball player [as] a face. So I wanted to be that.
“Two, Shaq. You know my relationship with Shaq. And three, I like how they’re rebranding everything and they’re letting me be the creator behind everything I want to do. So I’m having my own shoe line coming out, merch with my name on it. … Y’all like what I wear, y’all like how I dress, y’all like my style. I wanted to incorporate that into Reebok.”
Reese is the latest WNBA player to receive a signature shoe. Nike recently announced plans for A’ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark to each get their own, and Sabrina Ionescu’s shoe line is among the most successful. Liberty teammate Breanna Stewart also has a signature shoe through her deal with Puma.
Angel Reese continues to build impressive portfolio
During her two years at LSU, Angel Reese built an impressive portfolio of NIL deals. In addition to Reebok, she also had agreements with Beats by Dre, Airbnb, Amazon and SI Swimsuit. All the while, she led the Tigers to a national title and an Elite Eight appearance.
Since heading to the WNBA, Reese continued to expand her portfolio. She inked an exclusive partnership with Panini America and was one of a handful of top draft picks to receive an official trading card commemorating the night the Sky selected her.

But in August, Reese landed a deal she long wanted to secure. She joined the Hershey’s Company as an ambassador and launched Reese’s-branded apparel. It’s appropriate, too, considering her fans have become known as “Reese’s Pieces” and she made it clear she wanted to get a deal together with the company.
Shortly thereafter, Reese launched her own podcast. Unapologetically Angel debuted in September with new episodes dropping every Thursday as the Sky star continued to become one of the young faces of the W.
Recapping Angel Reese’s impressive rookie season
After going to the Sky as the No. 7 overall pick, Angel Reese made an immediate impact. She was a key piece of Chicago’s operation, particularly on the glass.
Reese set the WNBA rookie record for rebounds in a season, and her 13.1 boards on average is the most in league history. She also made waves with a record-setting double-double streak with 15 in a row. That passed Candace Parker for the most ever.
All told, Reese had 26 double-doubles – which was also the most in WNBA history. She also averaged 13.6 points in her first year in the league, setting a strong foundation after a decorated career at LSU.
As she gets ready for her second season, though, Reese will have a new coach. The Sky parted ways with Teresa Weatherspoon after just one season and the search is ongoing for a replacement. Reese was vocal in her disappointment in the decision, expressing her love for Weatherspoon after one year working together.
