Arizona State has agreed in principle to hire Grand Canyon’s Molly Miller as their next head women’s basketball coach, sources told On3.

Miller will join the Sun Devils after a highly successful tenure at Grand Canyon University, where she has been the head coach since 2020. Her hiring marks an exciting new chapter for Arizona State as they look to rebuild and become competitive in the Big 12.

She was named the WAC Coach of the Year this season after leading the Lopes to a dominant 32-2 overall record, securing the Western Athletic Conference title, and earning the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance since transitioning to Division I. Under her leadership, Grand Canyon has experienced consistent success, with four consecutive seasons of 20-plus wins.

Before taking over at Grand Canyon, Miller spent six seasons as the head coach at Drury University, a Division II program.
