Caitlin Clark and Victoria Vivians assessed technical fouls in Fever-Storm matchup
Caitlin Clark has been busy getting adjusted to life in the WNBA, getting jostled around by opponents trying to make life as difficult as possible for her at the next level. On Thursday night against the Seattle Storm, Clark got a little heated with Victoria Vivians of the Seattle Storm. The two briefly bumped chests before being separated and words were exchanged, after Clark buried a three and stared Vivians down.
Here’s the video below.
There was a brief stoppage in play after both players were separated. Clark was restrained by her teammate, Aliyah Boston.
It’s Clark’s third technical foul in nine games. The Fever trailed the Storm 47-41 at half. Clark had 12 points, three assists, and two rebounds at halftime.
A little spiciness can only be good for ratings and Caitlin Clark is one of the most influential figures to come into the WNBA since the league’s inception. She had 20 points, nine assists, and three rebounds on Thursday night, but it still wasn’t enough as the Fever lost 103-88. Aliyah Boston pumped in 11 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists. She’s been a force as expected for the Fever, stuffing the stat sheet with double digits in seven games.
While the Fever will still need to make plenty of changes to be competitive (they’re currently 1-8 overall), Clark has been a ratings magnet for the league, much like she was in college basketball.

She’s been bringing in plenty of ratings and plenty of money for the league, but Clark is still struggling with the physicality of the WNBA and the way she’s been officiated.

During her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark won nearly every award imaginable, establishing herself as one of the greatest players in women’s college basketball history. She helped guide the Hawkeyes to back-to-back appearances in the Final Four, where they lost both times in the national championship game. Clark won back-to-back Naismith Player of the Year honors in 2023 and 2024, and she was also named a three-time unanimous first team All-American.
