Caitlin Clark now has ice on her neck to go along with her ice-cold game. On Friday, the GLD Shop revealed a custom-made “22” chain for the Indiana Fever superstar, which features 1,000 handset VVS diamonds totaling over 12 karats.

Clark’s earned every shining stone. On Sunday, the former Iowa standout shattered the WNBA record for most assists by a rookie in a single season. It was her 225th assist of the season. Ticha Penicheiro previously set the record in 1994.

In Clark’s first game back from the WNBA All-Star break, she erupted for 25 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in a win over the Phoenix Mercury. The explosive performance was nothing new for Clark.

After a slow start to the season, Clark led the Fever to an 8-5 record during their final 13 games before the break. Clark was excellent during the stretch, notching double-digit assists in seven of the final nine games.

Rebecca Lobo expects Caitlin Clark to improve in final stretch

Experts only expect Clark’s production to improve in the back half of the season. Last week, ESPN’s Rebecca Lobo revealed her expectations for Clark the rest of the season.

“We’re going to finally have a chance to see what a rested Caitlin Clark looks like as a pro. You think about her schedule over the course of the past couple of months – plays for a national championship. A week later gets drafted. A week after that she’s playing in a training camp,” Lobo said.

“This is for an Indiana team that had a historically tough travel schedule to start the season. So, I’m really eager to see what a rested Caitlin Clark looks like.”

Evidently, a rested Caitlin Clark is a record-breaking Clark. Then again, it’s not the first time Clark has etched her name in the history books. With her performance this past week, Clark became the first WNBA rookie to record at least 25 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in multiple games.

Lobo is excited to see what else Clark is capable of with a slightly less strenuous schedule.

“If we could get the version of Caitlin Clark that we saw in the last nine games of the first half of the season – seven of those nine games she had double-digit assists,” Lobo said. “There was a real comfort level to her, a pace of the game that she just never looked like she was sped up.

“It looked like she finally had a really good chemistry with her team… They learned how to finish inside and as a result, right now she’s leading the league at a little over 8 assists per game.”
