Miami lands commitment from 2025 Texas guard Camille Williams
Highly recruited 2025 prospect Camille Williams has committed to the Miami Hurricanes, she told On3.
The 5-foot-11 guard from Fort Worth (Texas) Boswell High School recently returned from a visit to Miami (Aug. 1-3) and knew right away that it was the place she wanted to spend her college career. Between her relationships with the coaching staff, the style of play and the campus itself, Miami felt like home.
“The campus was beautiful,” Williams told On3. “They’re very family-oriented. They were very honest and genuine with me when I got there. I also loved the style of play. We watched a little in a meeting and I think it fit me very well. The coaching staff was amazing – they seem like they really care about a lot of their players.”
After watching some of their film and talking with the coaching staff, Williams feels that Miami’s fast-paced and versatile style of play will suit her well.

“I’m very fast-paced,” Williams said. “I think I have a pretty high IQ. I hear from coaches that my IQ is pretty high. I can see the floor very well and I can get my teammates in the right positions. I feel like I’m good on the offensive end and defensive end. I feel like that’s a good thing for me as well – I can play any position. Obviously, I’d rather be a point guard, but I think I’m very versatile as well.”
Williams chose the Hurricanes over schools including Arkansas, Houston, Rice and Fairfield.
“What I’m excited for the most is just building chemistry with them,” Williams said. “They seem like amazing people. That’s what I’m most excited for. Coach TC [Tricia Cullop] is new, so I’m excited to get coached by her. She seems like an amazing coach and I can learn a lot from her.”
