Gatorade unveils billboard as tribute to Candace Parker during WNBA All-Star Weekend
During her legendary WNBA career, Candace Parker appeared in seven All-Star Games. She made five appearances with the Los Angeles Sparks and two more with the Chicago Sky, and the Tennessee great announced her retirement prior to the 2024 season.
As the WNBA gets ready for Saturday’s All-Star Game, Gatorade is paying tribute. The company featured Parker on a billboard honoring her legendary career.
The billboard is part of the “Is It In You?” campaign, which re-launched earlier this year. It features Parker – a former Gatorade National Player of the Year – wearing her signature No. 3 jersey, and the phrase “It is For3ver” as a way to celebrate CP3’s accomplishments.
Parker and Gatorade joined forces in 2008 as part of a portfolio which also included Adidas. They also partnered last year in a campaign with Dick’s Sporting Goods to give away $100,000 to youth athletics programs. She’s the latest athlete featured in the return of the “Is It In You?” campaign.
Narrated by the legendary Michael Jordan, the list of athletes also includes Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark and Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson – who partnered with Gatorade in May. Incoming Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway, who was the Gatorade National Player of the Year this past season, is also on board through an NIL deal.

“As the brand that has been on the sidelines fueling athletes for decades, we’re committed to not only helping them stay in the game but also celebrating their unique ‘IT’,” said Anuj Bhasin, Gatorade Chief Brand Officer, in a statement. “The return of ‘Is It In You?’, our biggest campaign of all time, is about acknowledging how much the sports landscape has changed, while reminding athletes that one thing hasn’t – the inner drive that fuels you – and that’s what matters most.”
In addition to seven All-Star Game appearances, Candace Parker won three WNBA titles during her storied career – one with the Sparks, another with the Sky and one final championship with the Aces in 2023. She was also a seven-time All-WNBA First Team selection and won the Finals MVP with that 2016 title team in Los Angeles.
Since stepping away from the court, Parker continues to carve her niche as a TV analyst. She started working with TNT during her playing days and has expanded her role, calling more games while also serving as a studio analyst.
