Class of 2025 point guard Reese Beaty hopes to commit within next few weeks
Class of 2025 recruit Reese Beaty is nearing a decision for her landing spot, she told On3. The 5-foot-8 point guard from Jamestown (Tennessee) York Institute originally committed to Clemson, but she reopened her recruitment after a coaching change.
She’s received several high-major offers since reopening her recruitment and had plenty of eyes on her this summer as she played with Kentucky Premier on the Nike EYBL circuit. She averaged 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and five assists in the final live period of the summer at Nike Nationals.
“I just want to be more explosive on both ends,” Beaty said of what she hopes to improve on before college.
What is Reese Beaty looking for?
Reese Beaty told On3 that Iowa State, Penn State, Michigan and West Virginia are some of the programs she’s in contact with the most currently. She also said she’s no longer considering Clemson as a landing spot.

Beaty recently visited Iowa State and told On3 she was impressed by what she saw.
“I had a really good time,” Beaty said. “They’re great people, it’s a really good program and they’re known for being really good at basketball.”
Reese Beaty told On3 that she’s trying to set a few more visits prior to committing, but she doesn’t have any visits nailed down yet. She noted she’s hoping to potentially visit the other three schools – Penn State, Michigan and West Virginia – but she’s also hoping to commit within the next few weeks.
“People,” Beaty said. “That’s what’s important to me. You’re going to be around those people all day, every day. Whether it’s on or off the floor.”
