On Monday, ESPN announced its hit series, Full Court Press, is returning for a second season and has a new cast of stars. Full Court Press made waves last season as one of the first TV docuseries to follow women’s basketball players throughout the season. In Season 2, the show will revolve around Notre Dame‘s Hannah Hidalgo, LSU‘s Flau’Jae Johnson and USC‘s Kiki Iriafen.

The show followed Iowa‘s Caitlin Clark, South Carolina‘s Kamilla Cardoso and UCLA‘s Kiki Rice in its first season. In collaboration with ESPN+, the series is produced by Peyton Manning’s production company Omaha Productions, and Words & Pictures.

The show came at a perfect time. Women’s college basketball saw a dramatic increase in viewership last season with the rise of Caitlin Clark. The now-WNBA superstar seemingly had a blast working with Peyton Manning on the show.

“Oh yeah, he was the man,” Clark said. “He pitched it to me and I’m actually an executive producer on the show. So I watched it, I cut out stuff, I added some stuff. But yeah, Peyton was very involved. He’s the one that had the first idea of it.

“Obviously with what they did with quarterback (series) and they knew the hype around women’s basketball, especially college women’s basketball. Going from the championship we had with LSU my junior year and then moving into this season and they really wanted to capitalize on that. So they captured content all year long and followed us around.”

The first season of the show received strong reviews from critics and was nominated for numerous awards at the Women’s Image Network Awards. The show currently boasts an 8.4 rating on IMDb.

Once again, this season will feature some of the biggest stars in the women’s college basketball landscape. However, it will also feature some of the most talented teams.

USC is a 1-seed in the upcoming NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament while LSU and Notre Dame are each 3-seeds. The show will not only provide viewers with a behind-the-scenes look of the featured players’ lives but also their coaches and teammates.

The new season will premiere May 3 on ESPN. Fans will also be able to stream the episodes on ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+. If fans are lucky, the stars of the new season will be able to make a deep run in the tournament and provide the show with as much action as possible.
