The transfer portal was a beast last offseason. Several high-level players sought out new programs and plenty of them have already made a significant impact. On3 takes a look at five impact players who transferred into the ACC.

Kayla Williams — USC to Cal

Cal landed one of the most underrated transfers of the cycle in 5-foot-7 senior point guard Kayla Williams. Williams started her career at UC Irvine but spent two years at USC before transferring to the Golden Bears for her final year of eligibility.

Last season with the Trojans, Williams averaged 2.6 points and 1.3 rebounds. This season, she’s averaging 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists and two steals, while shooting 48% from the field and 43% from deep.

Loyal McQueen — Alabama to Clemson

Loyal McQueen was already a proven point guard with Alabama, but she’s been given the opportunity to thrive in Clemson’s new system. McQueen started her career with Georgia Tech before transferring to the Crimson Tide.

The South Carolina native joined the Tigers this season and, while turning the ball over a bit more, has improved in nearly every facet of the game. Last year with Alabama, she averaged 9.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists. This season, she’s averaged 13.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists.

Liatu King — Pittsburgh to Notre Dame

Liatu King had a breakout season at Pittsburgh last year as a full-time starter. The 6-foot post player spent four years with the Panthers and steadily improved each season. When she entered the transfer portal, several high-level programs were interested.

Last year, King averaged 18.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks. In eight games with Notre Dame, she’s averaging another double-double with 12.6 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.8 steals, while shooting 56% from the field.

Khadija Faye — Texas to Pittsburgh

Khadija Faye, a 6-foot-4 senior post player from Senegal, spent her first two seasons at Texas Tech before transferring to Texas. This offseason, she transferred to Pittsburgh for her last season of eligibility.

Last season with the Longhorns, she averaged 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds. This year, her production has skyrocketed. She’s averaging 17.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.

Latasha Lattimore — Miami to Virginia

Latasha Lattimore spent one year at Texas and two at Miami, largely as a role player. The 6-foot-4 senior transferred to Virginia this offseason and has started nine of 10 games.

Last year, she averaged 5.6 points and 3.1 rebounds. This year, she’s averaging 11.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in an expanded role.
