Fort Myers Tip-Off headlined by defending national champions South Carolina
The 2024 Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off presented by Intersport will be headlined by reigning national champions South Carolina, sources tell On3.
The event will feature two divisions, the Island Division and Shell Division. The Island Division consists of South Carolina, Iowa State, Purdue and Middle Tennessee State. The Shell Division includes Michigan, Belmont, Virginia Tech and Davidson.
The Island Division plays two games against predetermined opponents, while the Shell Division will follow a bracketed format. The headlining matchup of the event features two projected top-10 squads in Iowa State vs. South Carolina on November 28. The remaining schedule is as follows:
- November 28: Purdue vs. MTSU
- November 29: Michigan vs. Belmont
- November 29: Virginia Tech vs. Davidson
- November 30: MTSU vs. Iowa State
- November 30: South Carolina vs. Purdue
- November 30: Shell Division Third-Place Game and Championship Game

South Carolina was ranked No. 2 on On3’s Post-spring women’s basketball Top 25, while Iowa State was ranked No. 8. The tournament will be played at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida Southwestern State College from November 28-30.
