Hailey Van Lith‘s four-year contract figures with the Chicago Sky has been revealed after being selected with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the WNBA Draft. She will make a total of $320,040 across four seasons in Chicago.

According to Spotrac, the No. 9 through 12 selections are expected to receive the same contract figures. Her rookie salary will amount to $72,455, but will improve steadily until reaching $92,383 by her fourth season in the WNBA.

Van Lith rose to prominence while with Louisville. Then, she took her talents to LSU, where she was part of one of the top teams in the sport during the 2023-24 season. Finally, the star guard spent her final season with TCU, where she truly came into her own and showed the world what she could do as a leader on the court.

Van Lith helped guide TCU to the Elite Eight, averaging 17.9 points, 5.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, while becoming the general of a historic team for the program. Of course, this came after she spent three seasons making a name for herself with the Louisville Cardinals. Her legacy is secure, and now she’ll be hoping to cultivate a new road for herself in the WNBA.

Now, she’s set to team up with her former teammate at LSU in Chicago — Angel Reese. Reese put up strong rookie numbers for the Sky in 2024, averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, not to mention 1.3 steals and just under two assists per game across her 34 appearances before being shut down early with injury.

Despite drafting both Reese and Kamilla Cardoso in the first round of last year’s draft, the Sky finished the 2024 season with a 13-27 record. That was good for a 10th place finish out of 12 in the final WNBA standings.

They’ll look to turn that finish around with Reese and Van Lith now teaming up in Chicago. The Sky also added both Maddy Westbeld from Notre Dame and and Aicha Coulibaly from Texas A&M in the second round. The Sky did not have a third-round pick, but are likely pleased with who they were able to select — namely Van Lith.

The Chicago Sky will begin its 2025 WNBA season with a highly-anticipated matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on May 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET inside the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
