No. 13 women's basketball recruit Grace Knox narrows list to 4 schools
Grace Knox, a four-star top-15 recruit in the Class of 2025 from Rancho Cucamonga (California) Etiwanda High School, narrowed her list down to four programs, she told On3.
The five schools Knox is considering moving forward in her recruitment are Tennessee, Texas, LSU and USC. She told On3 she’s set official visits to Tennessee, LSU and USC so far for September.
There are several factors Knox is considering when deciding on a landing spot, but one of the biggest aspects is her bond with the coaching staff.
“Being able to bond with the coach that I’d want to play for and have passion with,” Knox said. “The style of play is really important to me – just knowing that I can fit into the program and knowing that I can thrive and become my best self is really important. Location isn’t a big thing for me. I’m willing to go wherever in the country.”
Grace Knox said the visits will be crucial in forming her decision.
“Physically being there is a huge thing for me, too,” Knox said. “Actually, going on a visit and feeling the vibe and whether it’s for me or not will help me a lot.”

Grace Knox overcame injury
Grace Knox is one of the most highly recruited prospects in the country. She plays for the Cal Sparks on the Nike EYBL circuit and was recently named defensive MVP of Nike EYBL Session III after averaging 14.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals and one block.
As a freshman, she led Spring Valley High in Las Vegas to the NIAA 5A semifinals by averaging 13.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. But after transferring to Centennial High in the Las Vegas area, she didn’t play in her sophomore season because of a back fracture. She eventually transferred to Etiwanda in the Los Angeles area and stayed focused on her rehabilitation.
The focus paid off as she returned in the 2023-2024 season as one of the most dominating players around. Knox averaged 17.2 points and 11.9 rebounds as a junior at Etiwanda.
“I want to be as versatile as possible,” Knox said. “Being a more automatic score on offense and being more than just a rebounder. I want to expand my game as much as possible, whether it’s from the 3-point line or mid-range.”
Knox told On3 that she hopes to commit either at the end of October or early November.
