On3's week 12 women's basketball Top 25
We’re 11 weeks in to the 2024-25 women’s college basketball season and a lot has changed. Here’s On3’s updated top 25 following the 11th week of competition.
1. UCLA
UCLA remains undefeated and thus remains No. 1 in the Top 25 this week. They took down Penn State at home, but their schedule will get tougher in the next few weeks.
2. South Carolina
South Carolina absolutely demolished a Top-15 Oklahoma squad on Sunday. There’s a real case to be made for moving them to No. 1, but until UCLA loses, they’ll stay at No. 2 in the rankings.
3. Notre Dame
Notre Dame took down SMU in their lone game of the week. They haven’t lost a game since November and have taken down five currently-ranked programs.
4. USC
USC held on for a big win at Assembly Hall this weekend. The Trojans have been able to close out close games and have just one loss this season to Notre Dame.
5. LSU
LSU is one of two undefeated teams left in the country. They took care of business at Florida on Sunday. Aneesah Morrow is making her case to contend for National Player of the Year with 18 double-doubles in 20 contests.
6. TCU
TCU earned a solid win over a then-ranked Utah team this week, where Hailey van Lith scored 24 points. They’re 19-1 with one early loss to South Carolina.
7. Texas
Texas took down Auburn on the road this week in their lone matchup, but will be challenged tomorrow against a Top-10 Maryland squad on a neutral site.
8. UConn
UConn, now mostly healthy with the return of Aubrey Griffin, demolished Seton Hall at home this weekend. They’re dominating the Big East as expected.
9. Maryland
Maryland earned a solid win against Minnesota early this week but will be tested against Texas on Monday. Shyanne Sellers scored 27 points and dished out 7 assists in the win.
10. Kansas State
Kansas State took down both Arizona teams at home this week – each with double-digit results. They haven’t lost a game since their lone falter to Duke during Feast Week.
11. UNC
North Carolina notched two road wins over SMU and Pittsburgh this week. Lexi Donarski scored 15 points and knocked down five 3-pointers in each matchup.
12. Kentucky
Kentucky improved to 16-1 with a win at Georgia this Sunday. Clara Strack had 25 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in the victory.
13. Oklahoma
Oklahoma struggled in a 41-point loss at South Carolina. On the bright side, there aren’t many teams who haven’t struggled against the defending champions.
14. Ohio State
Ohio State suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of Penn State, who was previously 0-7 in conference play. The Buckeyes were without NFOY candidate Jaloni Cambridge, though, and lost by just one possession.
15. Duke
Duke notched two wins this week over a ranked Cal team and Stanford – both at home. The Blue Devils are back on track after an OT loss at UNC last week.

16. Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech bounced back after three consecutive losses with an 89-65 win over Clemson at home. Six players scored in double-digits and they took down the Tigers without their star freshman, Dani Carnegie.
17. Alabama
Alabama has been without Sarah Ashlee Barker, its leading scorer, this week and fell to No. 2 South Carolina. They bounced back with a victory over Arkansas.
18. Tennessee
Tennessee suffered its third loss in five games after a Mikayla Blakes buzzer-beater sealed the win for Vanderbilt. They earned a solid win earlier in the week against Mississippi State, where they made 12 3-pointers as a team.
19. Cal
Cal suffered a really ugly loss to Duke this week, where they scored just 38 points. They bounced back on Sunday with a 12-point win over Wake Forest on the road.
20. NC State
NC State took down Pittsburgh and eked out a win over Virginia this week. The Wolfpack have only lost one game since November 27 and have managed some solid close wins when facing adversity.
21. South Dakota State
South Dakota State, the lone mid-major in the Top 25, remains undefeated in conference play and is dominating the Summit League. Junior Brooklyn Meyer scored 30 points against North Dakota this Saturday.
22. Nebraska
Nebraska notched a solid win at Iowa this week in overtime and freshman Britt Prince has been on her game lately. She had 22 points and five assists in this one.
23. Creighton
Creighton remains undefeated in conference play, earning a win over DePaul this Saturday. Molly Mogensen had 21 points and six assists against the Blue Demons.
24. Ole Miss
Ole Miss earned a really solid road win at Mississippi State this week after taking down Florida at home. Freshman Sira Thienou nearly put up a double-double with 10 points, nine steals and four assists against the Bulldogs. She’s shooting 59% in their last four games and should be in the running for SEC Freshman of the Year. They have one bad loss at Texas A&M, but have been solid otherwise, with close falters to three Top 25 teams – USC, NC State and Alabama.
25. Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt had a three-game losing skid, but took down a ranked Tennessee squad with a buzzer-beater from their star freshman. Earlier this week, they nearly beat out an undefeated LSU squad and have shown plenty of potential, despite some inconsistency.
