We’re 13 weeks in to the 2024-25 women’s college basketball season and a lot has changed. Here’s On3’s updated top 25 following the 13th week of competition.

1. UCLA

UCLA stays undefeated and stays atop the Top 25 – simple as that. As long as they keep winning, they’ll remain here.

2. South Carolina

South Carolina notched two wins this week. The most notable was a road victory over a ranked Tennessee squad. The Lady Vols came back at the end, but the Gamecocks came out with a win here and at home against Auburn

3. Notre Dame

While Louisville gave them some trouble, Notre Dame beat the Cardinals 89-71 on the road. They’re on a 14-game win streak and haven’t lost in the United States.

4. LSU

LSU earned a 107-100 victory over Oklahoma in a physical, gritty game that featured two ejections and a Kim Mulkey technical foul. They’ll move up a spot this week with just one loss on the season.

5. Texas

Texas didn’t have any notable matchups this week but stayed on track with wins over Missouri and Texas A&M

6. UConn

The Big East is no match for UConn, who remains undefeated in league play. They dominated Butler at home on Sunday with a 40-point result.

7. USC

USC slides down a few spots after suffering their first loss since November. It came at the hands of then-unranked Iowa on the road just before the Hawkeyes raised Caitlin Clark’s jersey to the rafters. It was a tough environment, but also a tough loss for the Trojans.

8. TCU

TCU earned a solid road win at Iowa State this Sunday. Other than their 1-point slip-up to Oklahoma State, they have just one loss to South Carolina.

9. Ohio State

Ohio State earns a spot in the Top 10 this week. They played just one competition against Washington and won by double-digits.

10. Kentucky

Kentucky is this week’s biggest riser as they took down two ranked opponents. First, they notched a win over Alabama at home and then Oklahoma on the road. Georgia Amoore scored 43 points in the latter.

11. Oklahoma

It was a challenging week for Oklahoma and they came out winless as they suffered a pair of losses to LSU and Kentucky.

12. Kansas State

Kansas State proved they can win without Ayoka Lee this week as they took down Iowa State and Kansas. The Cyclones took them to overtime, but the Wildcats came out with the W.

13. Duke

Duke was idle this week.

14. North Carolina

North Carolina beat two California teams on the road this week, although it came with its challenges. They earned a 13-point result over Cal, but beat Stanford by just 2 points.

15. Maryland

Maryland has struggled mightily as they’ve faced injuries – and that struggle continued this week. They lost at home to a then-unranked Illinois squad. It was just a 1-point result, but the Terps are trending downwards right now and will have to earn some significant wins soon.

16. Tennessee

Tennessee fell to South Carolina on Monday – and no one can blame them for that. They struggled against Missouri on Sunday, but ultimately pulled out the win.

17. Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech had one lone contest this week and pulled out a road win over Miami

18. Cal

Cal suffered a loss to North Carolina, but bounced back with a dominant victory over Pittsburgh

19. NC State

NC State hasn’t faced much high-level competition lately, but they’ve won their last six games in conference play.

20. Florida State

Florida State rose as others fell this week. They didn’t have a very compelling schedule this week, but won the games they were expected to handily.

21. Alabama

Alabama fell at Kentucky on Thursday, but earned a win over Georgia to follow it up. They’ve lost four of their last six contests and will need to notch a signature win soon to stay in the rankings.

22. Ole Miss

Ole Miss has beaten Vanderbilt not once, but twice, this season. They’ve kept it close with several other teams, including Texas, USC and Alabama. That earns them a spot in the rankings this week.

23. Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt fell to Ole Miss at home this week. They’ll remain in the Top 25 after earning two ranked victories over the past few weeks, but they’ll slip below the Rebels.

24. Iowa

Iowa had a stretch where they really struggled. They’ve lost to four unranked teams, although mostly in narrow results. On Sunday, they proved that when they get hot, they can beat anybody. They took down then-No. 4 USC in front of a packed arena. They’re on thin ice, but they’re in the Top 25 for now.

25. Illinois

Illinois is in a similar situation as Iowa. They’ve struggled with injuries and thus lost a few tough games, but have proven they have the talent to compete with the top of the Big Ten. They earned a road win over Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
