The Southeastern Conference closed the regular season with eight games, as well as a coin flip by the commissioner at the league office, on Sunday. Now, with that, the field has been set for the 2025 SEC Women’s Tournament in Greenville.

The most interesting result was that done off the court as Greg Sankey flipped a coin to decide the top overall seed between South Carolina and Texas after all other tiebreakers were used with the two each at 15-1 overall. The Gamecocks came up on the right side of it as they became the No. 1 seed with the Longhorns on the opposite side as the No. 2 seed.

The SEC then had two other notable results to end this weekend. Oklahoma won over Alabama to break a tie between the two, which put the Sooners at No. 5 and the Crimson Tide at No. 6 atop the teams that got single byes on Thursday. OU could have moved up to the double-byes on Friday with their win tying them with Kentucky following the Wildcats’ loss in Columbia but UK had won in Norman back at the start of February. Then, with Georgia upsetting Tennessee on Rocky Top, the Volunteers slipped all the way to the No. 9 seed after losing their tiebreaker with Vanderbilt, the difference of a bye and double-bye between the two, because of a one-point outcome in Nashville in mid-January.

Coming into next week, the SEC has double-digit teams projected into the NCAA Tournament. That means seeding in the national bracket, as well as berths for teams playing on Wednesday, will be impacted over the coming days inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Here is the official the schedule and field for later this week at the SEC Tournament:
