Arkansas has parted ways with head women’s basketball coach Mike Neighbors, sources confirmed to On3. Neighbors had been leading the program since 2017 and guided the Razorbacks to two NCAA Tournament appearances, in 2021 and 2022.

During the 2023-24 season, Arkansas finished in a tie for ninth place in the SEC, posting an overall record of 18-15 and a conference record of 6-10. The Razorbacks faced significant roster turnover. Five players entered the transfer portal, including four who had averaged double-digit scoring.

This season, Arkansas finished tied for last in the SEC with a 10-22 overall record and a 3-13 record in conference play.

Before coaching at his alma mater, he had a highly successful tenure at Washington, where he led the Huskies to three NCAA Tournament appearances. His time in Seattle included a Final Four run in 2016, followed by a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2017.

Before becoming a head coach, Neighbors held assistant coaching roles at multiple programs, including Tulsa, Colorado, Arkansas, Xavier, and Washington.

With Neighbors now out, Arkansas will begin its search for a new head women’s basketball coach.
