Sources: New candidate emerges for Missouri women's basketball opening

The first Power 4 opening of the season is here. Missouri head women’s basketball coach Robin Pingeton announced that she’ll be stepping down at the end of the season after 15 years with the program. While Missouri has struggled as of late, finishing with a record below .500 in league play for the sixth consecutive year, a head coaching job in the SEC will be in high demand. Yesterday, On3 released nine head coaches we’ve heard could be in the mix.  A new high-major head coach has entered the conversation.
