USA Basketball announces 2024 3x3 Women's National Team including Hailey Van Lith, Cameron Brink
The summer Olympics are not too far away, with thousands of athletes traveling to Paris to represent their countries. USA Basketball is expecting to have a big summer in multiple events, including women’s 3×3. A roster was announced on Wednesday afternoon, with four players getting the chance to compete.
Cameron Brink, Cierra Burdick, Rhyne Howard, and Hailey Van Lith have been dubbed “The Paris Four” and will be members of the 2024 USA 3×3 Women’s National Team. The first three are either currently in the WNBA or have played in the league while Van Lith is the youngster of the group. She is still playing college basketball, recently transferring to TCU this offseason after stints at Louisville and LSU.
Burdick and Howard both played their college ball in the SEC, attending Tennessee and Kentucky, respectfully. Howard currently plays for the Atlanta Dream and is averaging 16.4 points per game in his third season after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft.
Her future Team USA counterpart is not currently in the W. Burdick last played for the Seattle Storm in 2021.
However, there is prior experience representing the United States in 3×3 competitions. Gold medals at the FIBA 3×3 World Cup were won by Burdick in 2014 Russia and 2021 Vienna.
As for Brink and Van Lith, they have been two of the biggest stars in women’s college basketball in recent seasons.

Van Lith will continue to be with TCU, playing one final season with the Horned Frogs. Brink has since been drafted into the WNBA and is enjoying her rookie season with the Los Angeles Sparks.
Eight countries have qualified to compete for a gold medal. The United States is joined by the host country France alongside China, Azerbaijan, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Spain. No qualifying process was required from the United States due to their FIBA 3×3 World Ranking.
Play will begin on July 30 and stretch through August 5. Five pool play games take place to determine who goes through to the knockout rounds. Finishing inside the top two will automatically place you in the semifinals while four other teams participate in the quarterfinals.
All three rounds — quarterfinals, semifinals, and the Gold Medal game — will take place on August 5 at the Place de la Concorde. Everyone will be hoping Brink, Burdick, Howard, and Van Lith can come home with the Gold Medal.
