Howard High School, located in Ellicott City, Maryland, is one of Howard County’s most respected athletic programs and has built a reputation for consistent success across a wide range of sports. Known as the Lions, the school competes in Howard County athletics and is a member of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association. Howard has achieved success in football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, track and field, cross country, tennis, and golf. The Lions are particularly renowned for boys soccer, one of the strongest programs in Maryland, with multiple state championships and a long history of postseason success. Howard has also enjoyed significant success in lacrosse and football while producing numerous collegiate athletes.
