Alabama roster released for Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Classic
There are few higher honors in Alabama high school football than being selected to play in the annual Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic.
The game has featured hundreds of Division I recruits, college All-Americans and NFL Draft picks over the past 38 years since the game’s inception. It often heavily features prospects committed to in-state schools like Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi and Mississippi State, as well as other SEC and Power 4 programs.
This year’s class in the Yellowhammer State is again loaded with talent — with 19 players who are ranked as four- or five-star recruits in the On3 Industry Ranking.
Many of them will be participating in this year’s game, which is set to take place Dec. 14 in Mobile.
Tigers, Crimson Tide well-represented on the state’s big stage
On the Alabama team are 10 Auburn commits and three Alabama pledges, as well as players committed to Texas, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Arkansas, USC, Florida, Miami and more.

All nine of the Tigers’ in-state commitments are slated to play, including four-star running back Alvin Henderson, one of the state’s all-time prolific rushers.
Henderson led the nation with 68 total touchdowns last season and set the state single season rushing record with 3,523 yards on 225 carries. For his career, he has amassed 9,735 rushing yards and is just 104 short of breaking the state’s career rushing record set by Alexandria’s Mac Campbell from 1993-97.
Joining him are fellow Tiger commits: four-star safety Derick Smith, three-star lineman Spencer Dowland, four-star defensive linemen Antonio Coleman, Jourdin Crawford, Jared Smith and Malik Autry, as well as linebacker Jakaleb Faulk, and safeties Eric Winters and Anquon Fegans.
Representing the Crimson Tide are four-star running back commit Anthony Rogers, four-star offensive lineman Micah DeBose, interior lineman Mal Waldrep.
