Brentwood Academy football program to be featured in all-access series
After a historically bad 2023 season, the Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) football program has a new coach, a new outlook, and will be giving the Nashville Tennesseean an all-access look as they look to rebuild.
The school’s 2-10 finish last year was the worst in school history for a program that has won multiple Tennessee state championships, sent dozens of players to play college football and boasts a number of ex-NFL players as alumni. After that, first-year head coach Jacob Gill resigned from his position and was replaced by longtime Tennessee high school football coach Paul Wade.
Wade came from Donelson Christian Academy, where he took the Wildcats from an 0-10 season in 2018 to a state championship in just four years. In his 32 years of coaching in Division II, Wade’s teams made 12 trips to the state finals, including four state championships as a head coach and seven as an assistant/associate head coach.
The Eagles boast one of the country’s most talented quarterbacks in Tennessee four-star commit George MacIntyre, along with Georgia defensive line pledge Stephon Shivers and Duke running back commit Kolbe Harmon.
