Columbus High School capped off their fantastic 2024-25 boys basketball season by winning the Chipotle Nationals championship over Dynamic Prep. They’ve lost only three games this season and closed the year with a 17-game winning streak. Those facts left little doubt about them being the nation’s best team based on the On3 Composite Team Rankings.

However, to commemorate their national championship, the school released a commemorative logo that symbolizes their achievements and their hometown. As posted on the school’s official account on X/Twitter, they replaced the letter “I” with the number one in “national.” This small change depicts the Explorers’ first-ever national championship and their No. 1 ranking in the 2024-25 season.

Likewise, the logo contains four stars, representing their four consecutive Florida High School Athletic Association Class 7A state championships. Led by two-time Gatorade National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer, Columbus High School lifted trophies from 2022 to 2025. Meanwhile, the school returned the favor by retiring the jersey numbers of the Duke-bound brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer.

Aside from the Boozer twins, Columbus honored the entire Explorers roster by placing 15 smaller stars in the commemorative logo. According to their explanation, this detail is “a tribute to the strength, unity, and heart of the team.” The title-winning squad also includes Jaxon Richardson, Caleb Gaskins, Keeper Jackson, Cello Jackson, Michael Feenane, Zeljko Sekulovic, and Isaiah Trelles. Nicholas Meirelles, Bryce Hinson, Isaiah Medina, Adrian Nunez, Benny Fragela, and Alec Cohen-Laboy are also part of the roster.

Finally, Columbus High School paid tribute to Indianapolis by including a depiction of the city’s skyline. The Explorers won the Chipotle Nationals at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana. Cayden Boozer led the way in their 67-49 victory, scoring 27 points. Jackson added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Cameron Boozer contributed 11 points and eight rebounds. Meanwhile, Richardson finished his junior season with nine points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.

Likewise, this victory ends the high school basketball careers of the Boozers, Feenane, Hinson, Medina, Nunez, and Fragela.
