Eastern Michigan commit killed in motorcycle accident

According to a report by the Detroit Free Press’ Christian Romo, Chaminade Julienne 2026 lineman Elijah Berman, a 17-year old Eastern Michigan commitment, was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday evening.
Chaminade Julienne Catholic School’s official Facebook page posted the following message regarding Berman’s passing:
‘Today, our community came together in prayer to embrace the family and friends of Elijah Berman, a member of the Class of 2026 who tragically died yesterday. Eli knew what it meant to be an Eagle and made an impact anywhere and everywhere he went. He was a leader on the football field and track, an Eagle Ambassador, a big brother in our Little Sibs program, and a strong student with a big personality. He had just accepted an offer to chase his dreams and play college football at Eastern Michigan University.
Today, and in the days, weeks, and months that follow, we ask our community to please keep Eli’s family, friends, and all who loved him in your prayers as we hold on to each other during this heartbreaking time.
May God’s peace surround us all, especially 55′
Per a Dayton News Daily report, it was just after 5 p.m. when it was reported that a motorcycle and a semi truck had gotten into a collision. The auto accident occurred in Franklin, Ohio and the report states that the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s preliminary investigation found the semi truck was going down a ramp and collided into Berman’s motorcycle.
Berman was taken to a local medical center, where he passed away due to the injuries sustained from the accident, per the OSHP.
