Highly touted high school football defensive back Hakim Satterwhite announced his transfer from St. John’s (District of Columbia) to St. Frances Academy (Maryland). He confirmed the move via a recent post on his X/Twitter account, calling it a new beginning. Satterwhite was also wearing the St. Frances football uniform in one of the photos.

Satterwhite teased about his transfers last month when he posted a farewell message to the St. John’s community. He said, “I would like to thank my coaches, friends, and faculty within the St. John’s community for the last two years of high school. I’m grateful for the support and lessons learned. With that being said I would like to announce that I will be transferring out of St. John’s.”

On Jan. 11, Satterwhite teased his followers regarding his announcement, which he revealed four days later. At his departure, the cornerback helped the Cadets become the District of Columbia’s number two team in the On3 Composite Team Rankings.

Hakim Satterwhite will join a team ranked third in the Maryland On3 Composite Rankings. As a cornerback, he can contribute immediately and take over from four-star cornerback and Auburn commit Blake Woodby. Likewise, defensive back Connor Adams will play for Furman after exhausting his high school football eligibility.

Meanwhile, Satterwhite will strengthen a defensive secondary featuring Maryland commit Khmari Bing, Raylaun Henry, and Ja’Varr Stewart. The Panthers’ pass defense gets better after welcoming Maryland’s eighth-best prospect based on the On3 Industry Ranking.

Where Will Hakim Satterwhite Play College Football?

While Satterwhite hasn’t chosen a school, he received offers from over 20 universities. Out of this number, he has visited three: Miami, Maryland, and Penn State. On3 predicts that Penn State could be his choice, considering he made four trips in 15 months to University Park. In addition to those football programs, Satterwhite received offers from Oregon, Tennessee, Auburn, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M, among others.

However, in a Dec. 2024 interview with On3’s Chad Simmons, Hakim Satterwhite said that he’s taking his time to find the best fit. Instead, he will focus on being at his best in his lone season with St. Frances Academy.
